Raised with a deep commitment to service, I have spent my career doing the work: leading initiatives with the United Way of South Hampton Roads, improving systems at Sentara Healthcare, and earning my Master of Public Administration from Old Dominion University.
As a father with children in Portsmouth Public Schools, and someone who has stepped into classrooms as a substitute teacher, I have seen the gaps up close. Not from reports. Not from meetings. From real experience.
I’m running because I’m not willing to sit back and accept a system that lowers expectations for our children while asking families to accept less.
